Useful information

PE days are on Tuesday and Thursday. Please bring weather appropriate PE kit in on these days. Earrings should be removed before school and hair tied back. Please ensure that all PE kit is labelled with your child's name on.

Home Learning: We encourage children to read regularly. Our school policy is a minimum of 4 times per week. This includes the reading of the decodable phonics book sent home by school and wider reading that you and your child share.

Every day: Reading books, reading diaries, P.E. kits and water bottles to be in school. (Water bottles should be taken home each day to be cleaned).

P.E. Kit

Please provide your child with the following P.E. kit.

T-shirt (house colour or white only), shorts, tracksuit bottoms, sweatshirt or hooded top, trainers/pumps.

Book Club

Each Monday in school children will have a book club lesson. The focus of this session is for children to develop a love for reading and confidence to discuss the books that they have read. Each week they will bring home a different book which they have chosen themselves from the class library. This book may not always be at their reading level and can be read during a shared read with adults at home.

 

We have an open-door policy and want to encourage communication between home and school. Please come and speak to us if you have any questions.
