Dear Parents and Carers,
A very warm welcome back to all of our children and families. We hope you enjoyed a restful half-term break and had the chance to spend some quality time together.
This is always one of the most exciting half-terms of the year, with lots to look forward to as the children begin preparing for Christmas performances and festive activities.
We are looking forward to sharing these special moments with you over the coming weeks.
Remembrance Day Appeal

From tomorrow, children will have the opportunity to purchase poppies and Royal British Legion merchandise during the school day.
If you would like your child to make a donation, please send the money in a named envelope and ask them to hand it to their class teacher.
As part of our Remembrance activities, next Wednesday 11th November 2026, we are inviting children to either wear non-uniform in colours associated with remembrance: red, black, green, purple or white or for those children who are members of Scouts, Girl guiding or Cadet groups they can wear their uniform.
We appreciate your support as we join in this national act of remembrance.
PTFA AGM
Our PTFA AGM will take place on 19th November at 1.30pm, and we would love to see as many parents and carers there as possible.
We urgently need volunteers to take on the roles of Chair and Treasurer. Without these key positions being filled, the PTFA will be unable to operate this year. Unfortunately, this would mean that there would be no PTFA-led events or fundraising activities for our school community during the year ahead.
If you are interested in finding out more about either role, please come along to the AGM at Heathfields Infants.
Year 3 Cross Country
Congratulations to all our Year 3 children who took part in this week's cross-country event. You represented our school and demonstrated our values brilliantly throughout. We are incredibly proud of your effort, determination and sportsmanship.
Year 4 Resources
Year 4 are looking for donations of old newspapers for an upcoming art project. If you have any newspapers at home that you no longer need, we would be very grateful if you could send them into school by Friday.
Year 6 Resources
During an upcoming Design and Technology lesson, Year 6 pupils will be exploring how tote bags are constructed by carefully taking them apart. If you have any unwanted tote bags at home, we would be very grateful if you could donate them to the school by Monday 16th November. Please note that the bags will be dismantled during the lesson and will not be returned home.
Christmas Cards
We are excited to share that the children have the opportunity to design their very own Christmas cards in school, which will be sent off and transformed into personalised Christmas cards.
These can then be purchased by parents or carers, and for every purchase made, the school receives a small contribution which helps us provide additional resources and opportunities for our children.
As this project is being managed by an external company, we need parent permission before we can send your child's artwork. An Arbor message requesting consent has been sent. Please ensure this is approved by Monday if you wish your child to take part.
Time Tables Rock Stars

Knowing times tables is one of the most important building blocks for success in mathematics. Quick recall of multiplication and division facts helps children work confidently with fractions, percentages, problem-solving and more complex calculations.
We encourage all children to log on to Times Tables Rock Stars (TTRS) each week to practise and perfect their times tables for at least 15 minutes each week.
By the end of Year 4, children are expected to know all multiplication facts up to 12 × 12 and recall them from memory within seconds.
Regular practice at home can make a huge difference, so thank you for your continued support with helping your child learn their times tables. If your child has difficulties logging in to TTRS, please speak to their class teacher who will be able to help you.
